Combining years of industry experience, our consultancy offers an array of services covering professional sports merchandising, allowing client partners to utilise our strategic and operation knowledge without needing to commit to permanent headcount investment.

What We Do
Meet Our Founder
Lee Hyde

Founder & Director

Our founder, Lee Hyde, has worked within the sports merchandising, retail and licensing for the last 20 years. Working across both high street and professional sports retailing, Lee has developed a vast experience across various verticals whilst continuing to develop his own personal network of business contacts and colleagues.

Lee’s wealth of experience has seen his career path navigate from high street sports retailers, professional sports clubs, and licensed sports IP rights holding. From Sports Direct International and Nike Inc. to Colchester United FC, Leyton Orient FC and Ipswich Town FC, before heading up the retail division of the UK & Ireland rights holders for the Hummel brand. His most recent experience gained within the sector has been within omni-channel sports retail technology solutions, adding further areas of expertise to his wealth of experience.

Lee is known throughout the professional sports landscape and a trusted voice of experience. Lee’s passion for sports retailing can be heard on his popular That Sports Merch Podcast show, a monthly feast from across the global world of sports merchandising.

It has long being Lee’s ambition to establish his own business opportunity – something which came to fruition with That Sports Consultancy Group Ltd.

Sebastian Godoy

Senior Consultant (Americas)

Sebastian Godoy has built a career deeply rooted in sports merchandising, retail, and business development over the past 14 years. Originating from Santiago, Chile, Sebastian’s connection to sport is personal and profound, shaped by his upbringing near Estadio Nacional and his experience as an elite youth and collegiate athlete in the United States.

His career path has seen him make a significant impact across the sporting landscape, starting with a 7-year tenure at Under Armour in various regional and national roles within the soccer specialty business. Following this, he transitioned to adidas, where he managed the Team Apparel business at Soccer.com, the largest soccer retailer in the world. During his time there, his business segment accounted for over half of adidas’ commercial performance at the account, while he maintained relationships with over 800 youth soccer clubs across the U.S. on behalf of the brand.

Now, as a Senior Consultant, Sebastian will drive strategy and growth for That Sports Consultancy Group in the Americas. Leveraging his deep cultural understanding and extensive business relationships across the sports landscape, he will provide optimized services tailored to sports clubs and organizations, sports brands, rights holders, and supply and service providers throughout the region. His expertise positions him to help these entities thrive in an increasingly competitive market, delivering tailored solutions for success.

Domenic Notarfrancesco

Senior Strategic Advisor

Domenic provides a wealth of senior industry experience having worked in the NHL, NBA and the United Soccer League (USL).

Establishing and developing global retail programs with the Nashville Predators and the San Antonio Spurs, Domenic joined the USL as the VP, Consumer Products. Within this role he built out the league’s merchandising programme and worked closely with all member clubs to provide strategic assistance.

Domenic has worked with many new franchises and has assisted many owners to develop their brand and identity within their communities, ensuring a high-level of fan adoption.
Domenic’s most recent position was with Huddersfield Town Football Club as their Director of Global Brand, and provides That Sports Consultancy Group with strategic advice and support across various projects on an ad-hoc basis.

Chloe Hyde

Director

Holding the role of Director, Chloe sits within our Executive Ownership structure.

As an experienced operations leader, Chloe offers strategic operational advice to the consultancy team and supports many of our administrative functions.
